Six Rivers Africa (SRA) Hiring Human Resources Manager
Six Rivers Africa (SRA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to understand, preserve and restore flora and fauna in wilderness areas while supporting neighbouring communities through collaboration with government authorities and conservation partners
We are looking for a seasoned HR manager with a solid foundation in HR administration who can work independently and proactively create HR strategy. Additionally, the HR manager will be crucial in advancing worker wellbeing and creating a welcoming, inclusive work environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Recruitment: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent, screen applications, conduct interviews, and coordinate with management for final selection.
- Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process, ensuring new employees receive comprehensive orientation and integration into the organization.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems, coordinate performance reviews, ensure consistent feedback and development plans, and provide support and guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and issues; investigate and resolve employee complaints and conflicts.
- Disciplinary Actions: Implement and manage disciplinary procedures in accordance with organizational policies.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure the implementation of HR and safeguarding policies across the organization; make recommendations for policies and procedures review as necessary
- Compliance: Ensure organizational compliance with labour laws and regulations and other relevant laws Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Reporting: Prepare HR reports and metrics for management. Support organizational initiatives and projects as required.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources. A Master’s degree or professional HR certification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the non-profit sector. Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Commitment to professionalism and ethical standards Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Capable of leading and managing change to improve organizational culture and efficiency o Attention to detail and ability to produce clear, concise and grammatically correct written materials Proficiency in HR software will be an added advantage
