AfDB Overview
The leading pan-African development organization, the African Development Bank (AfDB), was founded in 1964 and works to advance social progress and economic growth throughout the continent. Of the 81 member states, 54 are regional member countries in Africa. The development agenda of the Bank is to provide financial and technical support for innovative projects that will substantially lower poverty in Africa by fostering inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Five major areas (High 5s) have been identified to ensure greater developmental impact and sharply focus the Ten-Year Strategy’s objectives (2024-2033). These areas include energy, agro-business, industrialization, integration, and improving the quality of life for Africans. All five of these areas will accelerate our delivery for Africa.
The Bank has reorganised and is developing the Regional Development, Integration and Business Delivery Complex, whose primary objective is to build regional capabilities and bring responsibility for client activities closer to the regions. Accordingly, five Regional Development, Integration and Business Delivery Hubs have been created, each run by a Director-General, in Southern Africa, North Africa, West Africa, East Africa, and Central Africa.
AfDB Recruitment 2024
Each of the five (5) Regional Development, Integration, and Service Delivery Hubs includes the several Country Offices. Every Hub is in charge of a mix of non-presence nations, liaison offices, and country. The Director-General receives reports from the Deputy Director-General regarding the operations taking place in their assigned region. In order to facilitate quick deployment to specific nations, each hub houses the necessary administrative resources, project implementation, business development, and operations capabilities in a common service, all of which enhance the Bank’s local efficacy.
African Development Bank Group Country Offices were established to guarantee aid coordination with other development partners, enhance project portfolio performance, and fortify strategic interaction between the Bank, governments, and other stakeholders.
To provide administrative support, the Team Assistant collaborates closely with the Country Manager and other employees. The employee will manage secretarial and administrative duties to help the Country Manager and other staff members optimize their schedules.
